Accidental Death & Dismemberment

Accidents are often life-changing experiences that can take a severe financial toll. Some Canadians don’t feel the need for accidental injury or death coverage because of the belief that an accident happening to them is very unlikely. But this oversight can be costly.
The accidental death & dismemberment plan has a comprehensive schedule of benefits that ensures your clients can depend on their insurance in the event an accident occurs.

Eligibility

There are only two qualifying criteria to qualify your clients for Specialty Life’s AD&D Plan:
1
Age between 18 and 69 years
2
They have a permanent Canadian address

Your client doesn’t need a medical exam to qualify under this plan. If they meet the above criteria, they are guaranteed coverage. That means your client can be eligible even if:

• Your client has been declined life insurance in the past;
• Your client has health issues that make finding insurance difficult;
• Your client wants to insure himself/herself or a child without subjecting them to a medical exam.

Benefits:

In-Hospital Monthly Benefit

To cover unforeseen expenses if your client is confined to a hospital due to an accident.

Bereavement Benefit

In case of death, this benefit provides the surviving family with grief counselling.

Rehabilitation Benefit

To provide special training or accommodation should your client require adjustments to their occupation or role at work. Also available as benefits for a surviving spouse should they need to take on new work on behalf of a deceased partner.

Home & Vehicle Modification Benefit

Provides direct benefits to claimants to make necessary changes to their home and auto to accommodate ongoing disabilities, such as paralysis.

Transportation & Repatriation Benefits

A set amount for the transportation and repatriation of the insured’s remains should they die away from their home.
