Mark speaks to thousands of advisors across the country every year about growing their book of business; while carefully designing his talks to ensure they motivate, educate and most importantly increase sales. This next chapter in his career, Mark takes on one of the largest digital insurance companies in North America. Mark will continue building on leading a sales team with the fourth largest insurance company in Canada to number one net sales for six years running, and number one in gross Segregated Fund sales in Canada.
Mark has been in the life/investment industry for almost 30 years as an advisor and a sales team leader. In order to be a top producer or leading sales team it takes relentless energy. Mark is excited to be bringing this energy and experience to Specialty Life to reach new heights in the insurance industry.
Camila is a graduate of York University with extensive experience in marketing, sales and client relations. Her insurance career started 4 years ago as an advisor with HUB Financial. She then transitioned as an Internal Wholesaler with RBC Insurance where she specialized in Living Benefit Products. Camila is passionate about educating and partnering with brokers and advisors while being challenged to find the best-in-class solutions for their clients in the shortest amount of time.
Camila is excited to put all her skill-set and experience to work in her role as Sales Director at Specialty Life Insurance where she looks forward to creating relationships that will help elevate all parties’ success.
Sales Director (ON – Ottawa & Kingston, QC & Atlantic)
Eric had the pleasure of working at RBC Insurance for over 8 years. Starting as an advisor in the advice center, he thrived and managed to build lasting relationships with other professionals in the insurance business as a wholesaler.
He then transitioned to becoming a product specialist for Eastern Canada, being a successful coach while working directly with independent Field sales advisors.
Eric is proud to be bringing this experience to SLi, focusing on the Quebec & Atlantic Canada regions along with SLi’s industry-unique future-forward technology that makes qualifying and purchasing life insurance as easy as it should be.
Bilingual Inside Sales Associate (ON, QC & Atlantic)
Jihane El Azali a graduate of the University of Ottawa and Algonquin College had the pleasure to bring 8 years of Marketing and Public Relations experience to the Specialty Life Insurance field sales team in Spring 2020. Being a fully bilingual member of the sales team, Jihane educates, trains and assists both new and already contracted advisors and MGAs in QC, Ontario, and the Maritimes on new and existing products, processes and electronic applications.
During her 2 years at SLi, Jihane played a role in the pricing and launch of the Evolution portfolio and will continue to be involved in future product and marketing projects with the sales team.
Sales Development Manager (Prairies and GW)
Katrina brings her eight years of experience in business development and advisor Support capacity in the financial industry. Since joining SLi, she has been a great promoter of Jenie, the first of its kindreal-time virtual underwriter. She is a great advocate for educating clients and very knowledgeable in helping agents provide excellent service by doing their due diligence and sharing successful sales strategies.
Bilingual Inside Sales Associate (QC)
Lamiss Ben jemia is a Tunisian international student born and raised in Qatar. Lamiss then moved to Montreal at the age of 18 and completed her studies in Finance. She lived in the province of Quebec for the last 12 years where she also studied English at Mcgill followed by biology. Lamiss is excited to bring her 10 years of experience in different fields of studies as well as sales, marketing and customer service, as she starts her new journey in the insurance industry with Specialty Life.
Sales Director (ON)
Nikki started in the insurance industry in 1999 as a career agent. After 7 years in this role, she entered the brokerage world and successfully continued as an advisor with her own practice until 2015.
The next career challenge she took was as a wholesaler for Northern Ontario at Canada Life. Nikki then continued her career ascension and moved on to work with an independent MGA for the last 5 years, playing a key role in the recruitment and support of the northern operations of the MGA.
Nikki is proud to bring her years of experience and relationships from the industry to the role as the Sales Director of National Accounts for Specialty Life Insurance.
Inside Sales Associate (ON)
Tania Di Chiara holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations from the University of Ottawa and she also completed a diploma in Public Relations from Algonquin College. Tania previously worked for the Federal and Municipal government, Public Relations/Communications firms, and has a strong Real Estate background in property management. Tania took the leap into the Life insurance industry in November 2020 and has had the pleasure to bring her diverse skills and experience to the Specialty Life Insurance field sales team. Tania’s role includes training and educating advisors in the Ontario region on new and existing products, processes, electronic applications, and working towards growing the Ontario region all while helping advisors expand their business portfolio.

Varshni started her career in the insurance industry working with a top producer at Carte Wealth Management. She excelled in fostering valuable relationships with clients and other industry professionals as an Insurance professional.
Varshni is excited to be bringing her experience to the fast-growing team at SLi, as an Inside Sales Representative for Ontario.
