Key additional details
- Final Expense plan – claim can be made immediately upon death and the proceeds can be used toward funeral expenses.
- Full benefit (the face amount) will be paid out immediately upon successful claims processing, subject to the date of death being more than 2 years from the effective date of the policy. In that case, a full refund of premiums will be paid.
- The full 4 times face amount payable should the death be as a result of an accident will not be subject to the above 2 year period, and will be paid out immediately upon successful claims processing.
- Claim form and supporting documentation must be submitted within one year of the date of death.
- Funeral Expense plan (Final Expense plan) is underwritten by Chubb Life Insurance Company of Canada.
