Critical Illness PlanUnderwritten by Chubb

Illness can strike at any time, and the financial after effects can be felt for years or even a lifetime. Critical illness is often considered a difficult product to propose to clients because of strict underwriting requirements and high prices.

Specialty Life is then proud to offer a flexible, comprehensive, and above all: simplified solution to the financial well-being of your clients. Our Critical Illness plan is particularly valuable for clients whom have already suffered from illness in the past and can understand the importance of protecting their lifestyle and future security.

There are only two criteria needed to qualify your client for up to $25,000 in guaranteed critical illness coverage

  • Your client is between the ages of 18 and 69 inclusive, and;
  • Your client has a permanent Canadian address.

Additionally, coverage amounts of up to $150,000 are available to clients with a simplified health questionnaire that is included within the policy.

This plan is available to your clients even if they've had a critical illness or other health issues in the past, though some restrictions to benefits may apply. See "When this Benefit is not Paid" for more information.

Full coverage for 24 critical conditions - See below for a full list for covered conditions.

Guaranteed even with Pre-existing conditions - Even if your client has suffered from one of the below conditions in the past, they are still protected in the event of any of the remaining conditions, with some exclusions.

Second Event benefit - Your client can keep existing coverage in force for remaining conditions, even after a claim has been made. The Second Event Benefit is payable once only per policy.

Choice of coverage - Qualify your client for more coverage under a simplified policy for up to $150,000 in total benefits, even if their health would qualify them as hard-to-insure under other plans.

Instant issue - Arranging, filling and submitting a policy is fast, easy, and intuitive for you and your client. Most applications are received and processed in one business day.
